Top 5 things to do on a rainy day in Cornwall
With Summer upon us, one thing’s for sure in Cornwall – we will experience some wet weather! But don’t let the Cornish “mizzle” stop you from having a good time! Here are some of our favourite activities for young children on a rainy day in Cornwall:
- Whizz down the slides
If you want to keep dry, come and discover the different obstacles in the soft play area at One2Eleven, Helston. Filled with exciting twists and turns, ball pits, cannon shooters, slides, tunnels, rope walkways and swings, you will find it difficult to choose which path to take!
- Become a Superhero for the day
Go behind the curtains in the Costume Castle at One2Eleven and dress up as your favourite superhero. Will you be Superman, Spiderman or Ironman? Or perhaps you’d prefer to be a princess or a pirate for the day; let your imagination run wild!
- Go shopping on One2Eleven Street
Take a wander down One2Eleven Street and grab some shopping from Tesbury’s Supermarket; fill your basket with some delicious looking props, including fruit, vegetables and cereal. Elsewhere on One2Eleven Street, you can cuddle the animals at the Pawly Pets Animal Hospital, or try your hand at fixing the engine of a car as a mechanic in the Autoshop Garage.
- Relax at the Café
Parents can also relax at One2Eleven, with seating and catering facilities positioned around the indoor play area offering hot drinks, lunches, cakes and snacks. There are also ‘toddler sized’ portions available!
- Get wetter!
If it’s already wet, why not get wetter? Grab your coat and wellies and get muddy splashing in some puddles while taking a walk on the nearby Penrose Estate, Helston.
