Spring Has Sprung In Helston
As the daffodils have started to flower and baby lambs begin leaping in the fields near our homes, we can safely say Springtime is here!
We’ve planned the perfect day out in Helston and the surrounding towns and villages to celebrate the new season and help you make the most of the great outdoors.
Start your day with the best play of the week! Here at One2eleven little ones can burn off some energy in the ball pool, climb to the top of the climbing frame and visit the cuddly animals down on One2eleven Street. And if the grown-ups aren’t quite ready to start their day as energetically, they can begin the morning with a coffee in the comfy seating area of One2eleven.
Make it the best day of the week at Flambards! Jump on the Hornet, venture into the Jurassic Journey or brave the Sky Swinger at Flambards this spring.
For some learning and history head to the Helston Museum next. Visit the fascinating museum and learn about the historic Cornish town. Spread across 3 floors and housed in the town’s old market building there are thousands of objects to keep little minds entertained.
From here you’ll need to don your detective hats and embark on a Treasure Trail exploring the town. Perfect for ages six and up this self-guided Murder Mystery Trail is a great bonding experience for all generations in the family. Spot the clues and solve whodunit!
Next jump in the car for the seal-iest day out in Cornwall to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary. Here you’ll be able to spot penguins, seals and even sealions. There’s also the chance to see some otters and farm animals whilst on a relaxing woodland walk.
Although slightly further away in the car Kynance Cove makes a great afternoon picnic spot. This beautiful location is very popular with locals and holidaymakers and for good reason, scenic walks, a lovely café and the chance to dip your toes in the sea are all here.
